I used to play dokkan before moving to optc. The game is pretty good but much more P2P oriented than optc. I stopped playing when Ultra rare (equivalent to legends) Broly came out because he was such a powercreep, showing what bamco wants the game to go to (if you don't have the needed RR, you are basically screwed), that I get tired of the game. I just hope that optc will not follow the road.
Another thing that I liked about optc is the need to make the best team you can. In dokkan, I just had 5 teams (one of each color), and basically used it against corresponding boss (always same lead that gives you free matching orbs), no need to think about anything. In that regard, optc is much better as it makes you have to think about the best strategy you can, use the most adapted leader and, if you read some suggested teams, try to replace the units you don't have with the ones you can. I don't know if they implemented it since I stopped playing (1 year ago), but the didn't have the class system that also allows interesting stuff like in dokkan.
That being said, I liked the battles in dokkan. It does't require much attention and you can play while doing something else if you want.
I am also feeling a bit down with the game, but I think I will keep going - still using all my stamina :) The new Raids (Boa, Kizaru, Sabo, YWB) are just so annoyingly difficult... but at least with Rocketman I can take a stab at some forests (cleared Jimbe, finally - the last battle is just a frigging 25 minutes super safe grind, lol).
I started playing Bleach recently, but it is certainly not as good as OPTC. Those 3D graphis don't look half as good as OPTC anime-true style, and as for strategy, a week in I haven't been able to figure anything. Controls seem pretty laggy, too. And its wikia sucks. The only good thing about it is being able to auto the battles, it seems pretty much a game that plays itself, lol. I haven't seen DB, so I won't be trying that. Maybe I'll try Naruto - has anyone tried it before?
I wish they'd launch a Fairy Tail one, it is my favorite out of those.
Naruto is decent, but I don't like they have the map that running to collect orb or something (I forgot) before the battle.
Pretty similar to optc in term on team building..
Dokkan so far I feel is more forgiving due to guarantee skill upgrade, and the drop rate is ridicolously quite good..and I don't agree that it is P2P (but maybe since I get Rose Goku ^^), cause I have been able to farm 20 stam event consistently now and if I continue playing maybe 40/50 stam in 1 or 2 month
Fairy tail is japan only, I guess will be JPN only since FT is famous in French mostly..
Mostly what burning me out in optc is when we feed the SB or copies is not guarantee skill up or very low skill up chance (30 Sabo only 4 skill up...my God, I maybe only able to use him after next 2 month)
I agree the most annoying thing in OPTC is the low skill up rate. IMHO, they should keep more or less same system but guarantee at least 1 skill up when using 5 books (maybe decrease the rate of more than 1 skill up to reach the same amount as now). But it is so frustrating when you farm raids/SB and get no skill up... That's what happened to me with GPU and SW Usopp. Strangely, it only took me 10 books to max my second GPU (I'm going to feed the 10 more books I had to some random units now, lol).
Concerning the P2P aspect of dokkan, I'm saying that because many stuff requires some specific units (at the time I was playing, broly for example). In my case, I was lucky and got the needed ones so I could farm him without gemming. But if you don't have the needed RR, you're done and there is no F2P alternatives like most optc content has. And the power creep is also worst on dokkan (but optc seems to be following the same path). I have a friend who still plays dokkan and he told me that broly is not considered such a good unit anymore. When I stopped playing, he was a god everybodu wanted to have...
Hey, guys! I'm still here and haven't deleted the game. I do still love it! However, I wish it had more of a community feel. I've been playing SWGoH and there's a lot of coordination and the developers want things not to feel tedious so they do things like create sim tickets and such so you don't have to reply levels you can perfect. You can turn in sim tickets and it will simulate you running it and you may or may not get the drop.
However, OPTC has a much more intense strategy and skill aspect to it that I love. It's just hard when you're alone on our phone and no community in-game or sense of working together. In OPTC it's we each have our own little game and our own units and we can share a hero, but that's about it. Still awesome for the experience when playing, just haven't jumped back in yet.
I want to pick it up again, just haven't made time for it.
Teaching grandpa how to... but yeah, good to see you are still around. The game could be better, but I don't think Japanese were ever good with customer service, or listening to what people want anyway. The other game you mention, I preseume, would be not released by a Japanese company?
I'm not teaching anybody, just giving an opinion ;-)
After a burnout, it is easy to completely stop or even delete the game. It is always better to keep in mind that after a break, the interest might come back and, if it happens, it is always good to have a few gems waiting ^^
I needed a break from OPTC as I didn't have anything to work towards. When I watched my videos, i thought I sounded snotty as I felt I was implying things were easier than they really were so I didn't think it was good for me or the community to be condescending. I suspect I've fallen adequately behind by now. I'll need some help from you guys to catch up on what the new hot units are.
My wife and I have also been busy IRL. We were moving homes and were trying to get everything ready with new house. We're all settled in now.
We can always use your help with guides, vidoes or such. I never thought you sounded bad in the videos, through as I said before, I watch videos rarely, and when I do, I usually mute them and just watch the action :>
New units, well, you missed the movie ones, but they'll come back in a year. Baccarat was an easy one to get for farming, but you'll survive :)
Everything else will come back sooner or later, I am sure you can get right back at it whenever you have time and will. Looking fwd to seeing you around on the friend list, we are slowly catching up to you in levels :D
Yes, tesoro is pretty good. His PSY and cerebral/driven boosts stack so, if you use PSY and driven/cerebral (like V2 coby, rakuyo, shanks, ...), they get 1.5 * 1.75 = 2.625 boost. Not far from a legend...
And with 2 tesoro, you can have 2 burst rounds with coby
Hey, Una, I was hoping you could give me a hand with some new pages. I need pages for the new fodder for Amazon Lily. Attached is a picture of the unit names, I'll fill in the rest. I'll also need a Nimble Female Fighter, Kuja Warriors page. Ignore Boa, that's her raid boss version.
want me to fill in all the info? nvm...are you sure these are the proper names?, i mean i know we can change them later however it seems unusual for them to have a comma, also what about No. 1062 "Guroriosa" and No. 1061 "Chinese Bellflower"
it wouldn't let me upload f1059.png or f1060.png, I tried pasting them on top of a fully erased other f photo that i had already uploaded, i tried adding TEST to the filename, i tried saving as .png and selecting yes its okay if transparency disappears, no luck, so i saved as .jpg and had to upload as that... it was giving me a "File type verification error" on just those two images for that character and her evolution :/ who knows
No, not at all though many people feel like it is. It's like the dark side of the force where it may be quicker but it is not more powerful ;)
I stopped playing it actually. It was back in the day when we didn't really have much on global. I just enjoy the game being in all English (albeit being able to read some Japanese as it was my minor) and actually the story release order that Global follows. I'm very pleased with Coliseum now on Global I find no reason to return to Japan.
Your opinion may vary, but I just find no advantage to playing Japan now for me. That's my experience.
the new lineup of upcoming events is good, although they haven't posted any halloween ones yet...i really want all those, but the 6? or so that they put in the notice seem cool, except for the krieg one...what a waste.
any way to delete redirects that are wrong. the in game notice listed all these new characters with a - and in game they never have the dash and we don't use the dash on the wiki so i'm slowly (because it's throttling my renaming) changing them all to the dash-less versions of the pages and want to delete the old dashed redirect links, also could i be an admin? would it make things easier? i'm here M-F usually most all the day and most weekends
I added the characters MadMonkUrouge where does Ain drop from? and where are you getting the correct translations for the characters? i don't trust "translate to english" from the japanese site as it is often close but wrong, case in point on the zephyr page one spot translates to NEO Navy Leader and another has it as NEO Navy Commander.....i added the reddit guide (to the best of my ability) to the Clash!! Zephyr! page but it'll need some work, also it's kinda long and may be able to be organized better. lemme know if i can help with anything
@una sorry for hijacking your page and turning it into a "general discussion" lol post your characters so i can help you pick a better friend captain for me to use, (i hate trying to get good great perfect off luffy)
